Newport News / Williamsburg International Airport New Concourse Expansion –  Newport News, Va.

Heard Concrete Construction placed 60,000sf of airfield paving using a truss screed and paving machine. The pavement was 6” to 13” thick. Installation included initial sawcut and dowel installation. The mix was a 650 Flex. Concrete was delivered in ready mix trucks. The lanes were 10’to 30’ wide. FAA standards and VDOT Road & Bridge Standards were the order of the day for this project.
